What is Rooting?
It is the process in the terminal that allows you to obtain total control of the device through the installation of binary files and an application that controls the accesses and privileges that the applications have over the terminal.
Benefits:
  • Customization: Once root access is obtained, you can run applications that you could only imagine before, you could change the source of your cell phone, change the color of the application menu and even change the startup logo.
  • Performance: If you use correctly the build.prop of your cell phone, you could improve it considerably. If your cell phone supports init.d, you could also add a couple of scripts that would improve the performance.
  • Special applications: That you could only use in Root, how to use your vpn, change your imei or apps for hacking from your cell phone.
  • Backup of your cell phone: You could change your default recovery and start making a total backup of your cell phone, which allows you to restore it if it is possible that it is brickea.
Disadvantages:
  • Virus: You must be very careful when choosing which application to use on a broken cell phone as it may contain viruses.
  • You yourself: Because if you modify files that you should not, you could ruin your cell phone, so be careful.
